 Elaine Peacock has recently returned to EastEnders with a new face, after Harriet Thorpe took over the role earlier this year. Her predecessor, Maria Friedman, played Elaine between 2014 and 2017, before the character jetted off to Spain. In a recent Instagram story, Harriet had us seeing double, as she posed alongside Maria in an epic selfie. Both actresses had been in attendance at the Chickenshed Gala night, and couldn't pass up the opportunity to snap a quick pic. Self-aware as ever, Harriet captioned the iconic moment '#Brilliant', tagging Maria and Chickenshed in the post. As Cindy made her unexpected return, it was revealed that she was Rose Knight, ex-wife of George Knight (Colin Salmon), who just so happens to be Elaine's fiancé.
