Angus Cloud was working an ordinary job before he was plucked from obscurity for Euphoria

Angus Cloud is best-known for his role as Fezco in Euphoria, but he had been working as a waiter before rising to fame when he was cast in the popular HBO show

Angus Cloud shot to fame with his portrayal of drug dealer Fezco in the hit HBO series Euphoria, but he hadn’t always worked as an actor.

The star, who died on Monday at the age of 25, had been working as a waiter at a chicken and waffle restaurant when he was spotted by talent scout Eléonore Hendricks. He was hesitant at first and believed it was scam.

Angus said: “She asked me if I would be down to do an audition, but she didn’t exactly say what it was for. I thought it was some type of scam.” However, he later met casting director Jennifer Venditti, as well as Euphoria director Sam Levinson, and accepted a role in the popular show.

Angus was born in Oakland, California, and grew up as part of an Irish American family. After attending the prestigious Oakland School for the Arts, he moved to New York.
