A Coronation Street teen will apparently make a move on Roy Cropper in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap, as she tries to kiss the café worker after a misunderstanding
Coronation Street will see one teenager make a pass at Roy Cropper in a shocking plot, after an apparent misunderstanding. The soap legend gets a shock when one youngster tries to kiss him on the show.
According to reports, the scene will follow the teenager in question landing a job with him at his café Roy’s Rolls. As the character misreads a situation she makes a move on Roy â but how will he react? The teen in question is newcomer Lauren Bolton, who recently returned to the soap after first appearing earlier this year. A sad discovery leaves her devastated, and she ends up making a pass at Roy.
According to Metro.co.uk, Roy will be left “stunned” when Lauren makes a move on him, as she misinterpret’s his generosity. With her not used to people showing her kindness, it seems she takes his job offer the wrong way. Lauren first joined the show earlier this year as part of the soap’s extremist grooming storyline, involving Max Turner. Max was groomed and radicalised by a far-right group, who encouraged him to believe their racist views as they targeted the Muslim community in Weatherfield.
Lauren’s father was a member of the group that groomed Max, with her also caught up in their extremist campaigns due to being manipulated. Lauren’s father Reece was recently sent to prison for his crimes, and he learned he faced an 18-year sentence.
