Officials have finally given an answer to what a bizarre eight-foot-wide metal dome that washed up on a remote Australian beach actually is.
The large cylinder was discovered on a beach near Green Head, a small coastal town of just 300 people 155 miles north of Perth, Western Australia, on July 15.
Curious locals reported the copper-coloured canister, with police setting up a perimeter so state fire officials and scientists could conduct tests.
