Best friend of woman killed in horrific car chase pays heartbreaking tribute

Tributes have poured in for Ms Wilson after the horror smash (Image: Facebook) A woman who was killed after her car crashed during a “dangerous pursuit” with another vehicle has left her “best friend and soulmate” heartbroken. Amy-rose Wilson, 27, has been named locally as the victim of a collision on the B902 New Carron Road, in Falkirk, at around 6.10pm on Saturday. Emergency services raced to the scene, where she was pronounced dead. Her death is being treated as suspicious by police.  Amy-rose’s friend Leigh Currie said “there are no words to describe the pain I feel” after the tragic incident. On Sunday evening Ms Currie posted a moving tribute to her friend – including a screenshot of their last messages sent to each other, where they said they loved each other. Leigh wrote: “There are no words to describe the pain I feel, the best ones get taken far too soon you were more than my best friend, you were my soul mate. “I will miss you forever and love you even longer, can’t think of better last words to have said to each other sleep sweet Amy.” Two other people – a 22-year-old man who was her passenger and a 39-year-old man driving a black Volkswagen Tiguan – were hurt in the crash. Police have launched a murder investigation, saying it is “imperative” they find the occupants of a black Mercedes which fled the scene. According to Police Scotland, the incident happened when the Mercedes C-Class pursued the Vauxhall onto New Carron Road, following an “altercation” with the occupants of the two vehicles on Foundry Street in Falkirk. After being “dangerously” pursued by the Mercedes, the Vauxhall then crashed into the Volkswagen. Amy-rose has been described as a “lovely lassie” as tributes flooded in. Another wrote: “Oh Amy-rose Wilson my heart absolutely breaks for you and your family, such tragic news! I was only speaking to you last week. Sleep tight sweetie xxx.” A further tribute stated: “Not the news you want to hear – one of your long times friends gone so tragically. Amy-rose Wilson I’m sorry I’ve not been there for a while, you will be strongly missed but we all know you’re not alone, you’re with tiny now.” Other messages included someone saying: “Rest easy Amy-rose. Hard to believe I only spoke to you on Tuesday x” and another wrote: “We will miss you always angel.” Detective Inspector Hazel Reid said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman at this very difficult time. We have a dedicated team of officers working on this investigation and extensive enquiries are ongoing at this time. It is imperative we trace the occupants of the black Mercedes who fled the scene. We believe this vehicle has pursued the Vauxhall in a dangerous fashion, resulting in a crash with the Volkswagen Tiguan.” She added: “Officers are gathering CCTV footage from the surrounding area and door-to-door inquiries are also being carried out. I am keen to speak to anyone with any private CCTV, dashcam or any other footage they think would assist the enquiry. “We will have a continued police presence in the area and anyone with any concerns can approach these officers. It is vital that we find out more about what has happened as soon as we can and I would urge anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible, no matter how insignificant it might seem.”
