Manchester United have agreed a new world-record deal with Adidas that guarantees the club £900 million over ten years, with the potential to earn even more from bonuses.
Insiders insist that the announcement has no bearing on the possible sale of the club, with United executives operating on a “business as usual” basis while options are explored by the Glazer family.
The extension with Adidas as the club’s kit supplier means the partnership will run until June 2035. The existing deal was the previous record, worth £750 million over ten years, and was signed in 2014 to run from the following year.
