Sharing the post to Instagram , a photo of Nurse Nancy Corrigan actress Megan Cusack taking up the role of sound operator as she posed with a large boom microphone alongside one of the show's crew. Confirming the "summer recess," the post from the show read: "This week has been the last week of filming before we take our regular summer break on the production of Series 13 - and there has been a definite end-of-term feel to proceedings... "Down in the clinic, our brilliant Meghan Cusack (Nancy) felt inspired to swap roles withtrusty sound man Tom so she could try her hand at operating the boom microphone (I'm not sure she's quite got the hang of it...)" The post got everyone missing their favourite BBC One show as it made reference to a number of the characters. They then shared another cast selfie as to which the post read: "Meanwhile, over at the Turner house, Patrick and Shelagh (Stephen McGann and Laura Main) sent us a summery kitchen selfie before they head off on their holidays ." The pause in filming will allow a much-needed break for the cast, particualrly following some personal turmoil for some of the show's stars who have found themselves facing heartache following a series of love splits. Helen George split from co-star Jack Ashton while Olly Rix has also ended his long-term relationships in recent weeks.
