Winter Love Island AXED by ITV and replaced with special All Stars series

Love Island will reportedly not air a winter edition this January 2024, following the summer series – while a special series with former contestants will apparently air instead

Love Island’s winter series has reportedly been axed for the second time. According to sources, the show will be replaced with a special All Stars edition next winter.

According to reports viewers will get one normal series of the show in 2024, while January’s winter edition will look a little different. Instead of a new batch of singles looking for love, it will be some familiar faces trying their luck again.

This is the second time in the show’s history that the winter show has been axed, with the first series airing in 2020 and the second in 2023, after a three-year break. It’s claimed the show will be dropped once again this winter, while it’s not confirmed if it will return in 2025.

The Mirror has reached out to ITV for comment on the story. It means viewers wanting to see new cast will have to wait until next summer, with the series thought to be going ahead as planned.
