 Max Verstappen could not believe his luck as yet another of his trophies was damaged following his win at the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix. The Dutchman claimed his 10th win of the season, and his eighth in a row, at Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday, with Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez second and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc third. Having also won the chaotic sprint race on Saturday, his championship lead has been extended to a whopping 125 points as we enter the summer break. Relatively speaking, it wasn't the smoothest of weekends for Verstappen who had to start the main race from sixth after receiving a five-place grid penalty for changing his gearbox. He made quick and easy work of his opponents however, though he could do little to save his winner's trophy, which for the second weekend running was accidentally broken during the celebrations. As the Red Bull team posed for their victory photo in the paddock accompanied by their three trophies, a few people began to spray cans of their energy drink as is custom, leading to both drivers and various personnel leaping up and running towards the camera. But in the commotion, Verstappen's trophy was knocked over and left in several pieces, with the 25-year-old laughing and remarking: 'It's broken again, the trophy is broken again!' This follows the Hungarian Grand Prix, where Lando Norris accidentally knocked over Verstappen's trophy while popping his champagne, with the McLaren driver later apologising. As well as having to deal with another broken piece of silverware, the two-time champion also had to contend with several testy exchanges with his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase. The pair consistently bickered over what strategy to take during the weekend, with 'GP' unhappy with the way his driver wasn't managing his tyres during the latter stages of the grand prix.
