After that game, Apple called Hill "a baby" on Twitter after defeating him to reach that year's Super Bowl - with the cornerback performing well against Hill - registering only 78 yards on the day. Hill then called Apple out last season after the former was traded to the Dolphins. Prior to the game, he said: "I can't wait to go against Eli Apple, man. I owe you boy. I owe you. I'm here. The cheetah is here." Hill went on to have a huge day registering 160 yards, but the Bengals would win the game 27-15. But it appears that the two are cordial with one another now they're teammates. Apple said: "His locker is literally right across from mine. I saw him earlier today in the locker room and we were chopping it up a little bit at the training and breakfast table. We all good. It's all love. We're on the same team. All love. "He was telling me about the guys on the defence and catching me up and introducing me to the coaches I hadn't met yet. It was cool. It was a great introduction." But despite them being on the same team, head coach Mike McDaniel expects the two to continue to chirp to one another throughout training camp, with the two set to go head-to-head. McDaniel said: "Both sides know there will be trash talked if you allow the other side to win."
