It's one of the areas where the Jets lack depth, but Saleh initially acted like Cook's visit didn't mean he would sign. "Call it a meet and greet. I don't know about recruiting, but I think it's more to get a feel and make the best decision for your family," Saleh said to reporters after Sunday's practice. But his mind had been changed less than 24 hours later, after admitting he was a "believer" in Cook's future. When being asked about what the Jets are going to do with their remaining cap space, Saleh said to The Up & Adams Show on Monday: "That's a Joe (Douglas) question, but I know one thing and I'll go back to our owner who is so supportive with regards to acquiring talent. "(He's) not afraid to pay some cash to get these guys in here. I know that if something is available and that person can help this football team, it'll be definitely talked about and serious consideration on whether or not we'd be able to add them." Saleh was then asked where Cook was, with the running back spending most of Sunday at the facility. "I'm not sure where he is, but yesterday was awesome," Saleh added.
