Erik ten Hag’s search for a new striker is over after Manchester United agreed a £72million deal with Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund.
United have agreed an initial fee of £64m for the Denmark striker, with a potential further £8m payable if performance-related add-ons are met. He will replace Wout Weghorst in the squad after his half-season loan spell from Burnley ended last month.
Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who has one year remaining on his his contract, is another prime target for the Red Devils. It’s believed he is available for around £30m.
In terms of outgoings, United have rejected a £20million bid from West Ham for Harry Maguire. The Hammers are expected to make another bid. Scott McTominay could also leave Old Trafford, with United slapping a £45m price tag on the Scotland international.
