NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
England legend Stuart Broad has announced he will retire from cricket at the end of the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval.
The 37 year-old seamer has won 167 caps for his country, with his 602 wickets making him the second most successful fast bowler in Test history behind close friend James Anderson.
Broad’s decision has been motivated by his decision to finish his time in the game at the very top, and his retirement will now allow him to spend more time with fiance Mollie King and their daughter.
Broad is engaged to The Saturdays star Mollie King, having popped the question on New Year’s Day 2021.
