BRITS have been warned that driving below the speed limit can see them banned, fined and even jailed.
Most motorists know that driving over the limit is both a safety risk, illegal and can cost them hundreds in fines.
But many drivers are not aware that driving too slow can cause accidents in many ways, including enraging other drivers and encouraging dangerous behaviour on the roads.
According to car experts, it can create congestion and provoke tailgating or unsafe overtaking.
However, the Highway Code does not include any specific penalties for driving too slow, but you could get in trouble if your driving is considered a hazard.
