Gregg Wallace insists ‘human meat’ mockumentary isn’t ‘far-fetched’

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Gregg Wallace has responded to the horrified critics of his ‘human meat’ documentary that was slammed with hundreds of Ofcom complaints.

Channel 4 viewers were left scratching their heads after The British Meat Miracle aired on Monday night which followed the MasterChef presenter, 58, as he visited a factory producing ‘human’ steak.

The product, which started at just 99p, was being presented as a cash-saving alternative in the dire cost-of-living crisis, with a new ‘premium’ range, ‘harvested from the cells of kids under the age of six ‘and known as ‘toddler tartare’, also in development.

While the documentary was all fiction – and intended as a satire of the desperate means required to survive as energy and food bills soar – the audience was left baffled, with one commenting: ‘This has got to be a spoof! Are times that bad we are turning to cannibalism?’
