Evy Young gets her kicks from Aston Villa’s disability team – with help from National Lottery players
Evy Young developed a passion for the beautiful game by watching Premier League matches with her father while curled up on the sofa.
“I instantly became an Aston Villa supporter like my dad and was really keen to play football myself,” recalls the 19-year-old from Sheldon in East Birmingham.
But Evy didn’t know if she’d be able to find a club that would welcome her along to play.
That is because she has a learning disability and autism, as well as scoliosis – which causes curvature of the spine – and hyper-mobility, which brings joint issues and pain.
