Royal Family LIVE: Four-word Palace vow to make Sussexes ‘nervous’

The Palace is set to make Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “nervous” as state visits return, sources have claimed. A Palace source told the Mail that “state visits are back” with plans for King Charles and Queen Camilla to jet off all over the world with Princess Kate and Prince William following closely in their footsteps. After stepping down as working members of the Firm in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no longer required to attend state visits – despite offering “hope” to royal fans after their engagement that they would be the jet-setting couple to complete the most state visits. Royal expert Daniela Elser said the move is set to make the Sussexes “nervous” with their “underused passports”. Writing for news.com.au, she said: “Unfettered by rules or Foreign Office diktats, Harry and Meghan could go anywhere and take on any cause. Refugee camps, remote health outposts and animal conservation projects from the world over would be their patch in what seemed destined to be a caring-krieg like never before. “It would – could – have been glorious, but it never came to pass. Next month, William will be in New York for the annual Earthshot Prize. Towards the end of the year, William and Kate will be making a joint appearance for Earthshot events in Singapore. Ms Elser added: “So, will William and Kate’s (and Charles and Camilla’s) worldwide push save the Commonwealth?”
