Japan’s class act off the field after thrashing Zambia in Women’s World Cup match

The 2011 World Cup winners continue to show why they are a class act on and off the pitch, after they left their changing room spotless following their 5-0 over tournament debutants Zambia

Japan wiped the floor with Zambia on Saturday in their opening Women’s World Cup match, but it wasn’t the scoreline that has made headlines.

The 2011 World Cup winners continue to show why they are a class act on and off the pitch, after they left their changing room spotless following their 5-0 over tournament debutants Zambia and left a message of thanks to the staff.

The fans were also seen tidying up the stands after the game armed with trash bags to pick up all garbage left behind.

The FMG Stadium Waikato in New Zealand was left exceptionally tidy – all towels were placed in a bag neatly and their untouched drinks were left in a tidy manner post-match with an accompanying note on the whiteboard -ARIGATOU’ which translated to ‘Thank You’ in Japanese.
