Man given months to live after struggling to read texts in race against time

Dylan Bearns, 39, initially fobbed off his condition after struggling to read his text messages – little did he know, the discomfort he was feeling was a brain tumour

A man who has been given just months to live is battling a race against time to fund treatment dubbed as the “silver bullet” for brain cancer.

Dylan Bearns, 39, was enjoying a trip in Tunisia with his fiancée, Hayley Redfern, 37, when he began to suffer from headaches.

However, the pain settled and he brushed off his symptoms until he started to struggle to read text messages.

Dylan, from Parr, St Helens, initially thought it was an issue related to his eye sight but decided to go to A&E at Whiston Hospital once he travelled home from his holiday.
