NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Two female hikers were found dead in Nevada’s Valley of Fire State Park as the American southwest continues to endure a record-shattering heat wave.
Nevada is currently under an extreme heat advisory as a ‘heat dome’ engulfs the entire region, bringing daily triple-digit temperatures.
Officials and fellow hikers noticed the two women leave for a hike in the park on Saturday morning.
It is unclear what time the victims began their hike, but the temperature reached 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius) by 9.00am, according to National Weather Service data.
