David Beckham’s Miami inner circle of A-list pals after Lionel Messi’s arrival

David Beckham brushes shoulders with the stars in his second home of Miami with fellow football superstar Lionel Messi set to join the lifestyle following a blockbuster free transfer

Miami has become a second home to the Beckhams after football legend David started a new adventure in the Sunshine State with hopes of conquering MLS – and he can now include Lionel Messi in his inner circle.

Beckham, alongside Jorge and Jose Mas, created the expansion franchise in 2018 but have had very little on-pitch success. Inter Miami finished 19th in both the East and Western Conferences in their first seasons, and 2021 wasn’t any better as they finished 20th.

Inter Miami made the playoffs for the first time in the last campaign but they were swiftly knocked out of the postseason in Round One. The first half of 2023’s season didn’t go to plan either, with Inter Miami bottom of the Eastern Conference with just 12 games to go – but business-savvy Becks may have come up with a signing or two to save the franchise’s campaign.

Fending off the financial might of Saudi Arabia, Beckham, and Co managed to sign fellow football legends Messi and Sergio Busquets, who are now tasked with making up a 12-point deficit to make the postseason. Stars made appearances at the DRV PNK Stadium to watch the ex-Barcelona duo’s debuts against Cruz Azul, with the likes of NBA legend LeBron James, Kim Kardashian, tennis great Serena Williams, and Tom Brady in attendance.
