A 30-year-old man aboard a Carnival Cruise went missing on Sunday, leaving the popular tourist line scrambling to locate him in the waters after video footage showed the man jumping overboard.
Relatives of the man became concerned and contacted security personnel on the cruise, who used their video surveillance system to track his movements. To everyone’s shock, the video showed him jumping off the side of the boat as it was nearing Melbourne.
“The crew was notified by his travelling companion late (Sunday) afternoon about his missing status after he had not been seen all day,” the cruise line said. “Sadly, after an exhaustive on-board search and a review of security camera video, it was determined that he jumped.”
