Man Utd to trigger one-year deal for Wan-Bissaka despite Crystal Palace interest with transfer set to fall through

MANCHESTER UNITED look ready to take up the extra year’s option on right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The ex-Crystal Palace player, 25, is out of contract next summer but United have the chance to keep him beyond that.

Palace would like Wan-Bissaka to return to Selhurst Park but they will not have any joy because United plan to keep the defender, who has impressed manager Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman wants to sign Axel Disasi, 25, for the position but the fee is too big and takeover issues make it difficult.

Monaco may yet sell Disasi so Ten Hag is on alert – especially if Diogo Dalot leaves Old Trafford.
