The app, which is called Nous, claims to provide an 'automated money saving service'. In short, its software analyses your current outgoings, finds you better deals, then takes care of all the admin required to switch providers. It's sort of like a highly personalised alternative to USwitch or CompareTheMarket, except it promises 'instant savings' in a couple of clicks rather than giving you a list of options to choose from manually. The app has just added its AI assistant which uses language-based algorithms to pick apart the small print in your bills and look for better savings. Greg Marsh, CEO of Nous, said: "We know most people find trawling through every line of their bills boring, confusing, worrying—or all three. It's such a problem that in reality most of us just don't do it. "Unfortunately, companies are all too aware of this, and some use it as an opportunity to bury nasty surprises where they think no one will actually read them. Generative AI is perfectly suited to catching this stuff straight away, saving the need for Nous users to sacrifice hours to ensure they're not getting ripped off."
