The winger was seen on crutches after the game, slowly making his way out of the stadium with his left ankle strapped up. The extent of the injury is not yet confirmed, but the Ivory Coast international will be worried that the rest of his pre-season preparations will be heavily impacted by the injury. After an impressive loan spell at Sunderland last season, the youngster is hoping to get more first team opportunities with the Red Devils this campaign, but this setback will not help him achieve that goal. The Red Devils have a busy pre-season schedule, with matches against Wrexham, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lens and Athletic Bilbao before the Premier League campaign gets underway against Wolves on 14 August. The Diallo injury was a disappointment for manager Erik ten Hag, but it was otherwise an encouraging run out for his team against the Gunners.
