THE New Zealand women’s national team had to be temporarily evacuated from their hotel on Saturday night due to a fire.
Emergency services were called to the Pullman Hotel in Auckland at 7:48pm after receiving an alarm activation.
They arrived at the scene to find that the building was smoke-logged due to fires in multiple locations.
According to The New Zealand Herald, the Football Ferns were evacuated through a stairwell before being sent to a nearby private restaurant.
They then had to wait before receiving confirmation that they would be able to return to their team base.
