Marco said that Ryanair was not at all helpful and "didn't give us any kind of assistance except for a €4 (£3.46) bonus after four hours of waiting". He added that he felt their attitude was "a joke" and that the heat "was like being inside a sauna but with the door locked". Marco said that the flight was delayed by 10 hours and that even when the flight crew began handing out water after the first sweltering hour, there were not enough drinks for everyone. He said it was also impossible to go to the toilet because it was "clogged with people (having) panic attacks". After about three hours, the crew finally let them off the aircraft, with it then taking off at 10pm instead of its 10am original departure time, Marco said.
