Tony Bennett raised awareness of Alzheimer’s disease in a post that featured a photo of him and his wife Susan Crow which was shared on social media just weeks before his death.
It was announced today that Tony – known for songs like I Left My Heart in San Francisco – had passed away recently, aged 96, with the cause of death yet to be announced.
The Grammy Award winner retired from music a few years ago but had remained in the public eye, with updates occasionally shared with fans on his Instagram account.
One of the most recent posts that was shared on the account dates back on June 20. It included a photo – which had previously been shared last year – that showed him alongside his wife Susan, whom he married in 2007.
