Taking to Mumsnet, the unnamed woman wrote: "Would this annoy you? I had a difficult birth and we told our parents the baby was here safely. "Before I was even compos mentis, my mother-in-law had announced it on the wider family WhatsApp group that I am in and included it ended in a c-section. Am I being unreasonable to be very p***** off?" She went on to add that she felt the information about her c-section to be very "unnecessary", and would have preferred her mother-in-law to omit this particular detail from her announcement. Opinions on this tricky situation were mixed. Although many understood why the new mum had wanted to share her news on her own terms, others felt there was nothing wrong with a proud grandma letting others know all was well.
