Mirror reporter Julia Banim put a cleaning hack favoured by Mrs Hinch fans to the test, which they claim helps to spruce up old, yellow pillowcases and make them look good as new
As much as we might all like to sleep in lovely fresh bedding every night, we all have pillowcases we’re less than proud of lurking at the back of the cupboard.
As houseproud as you might well be, pillowcases don’t always look their best after years of use, especially if you’ve got white or light-coloured bedding. Human moisture, such as sweat or dampness from your hair will, over time, create unsightly yellow stains that don’t exactly scream cosy night in under the duvet.
I have one such pillowcase myself, and for a while, I’d kind of given up on it ever looking fit for public view again. Then I heard about a very nifty hack that Mrs Hinch fans swear works like a charm.
In a post shared via a Mrs Hinch fan page, a number of cleaning gurus advised that Napisan was “the way forward” when it comes to ridding your pillowcases of unsightly yellowing.
