Joby Pool used a metal grinder to break into an industrial unit in Telford before he took a previously stolen tractor unit and used it to make off with 200,000 Cadbury’s Creme Eggs
The sticky-fingered thief behind an eggs-travagant heist has been jailed for 18 months after he was caught stealing 200,000 Cadbury’s Creme Eggs.
Joby Pool, 32, stole a reported £40,000 worth of sweet goods from an industrial unit in Telford, Shropshire in February this year.
The shocking theft hit the headlines due to the sheer volume of chocolate stolen. The 200,000 chocolate eggs were recovered by police after the 32-year-old gave up on the M42 and was arrested.
He was later charged with criminal damage and two counts of theft.
