UFC legend McGregor hasn’t fought in two years, but appeared to restart his comeback training camp at SBG Ireland’s Dublin HQ today, releasing a series of photos from the session
Conor McGregor’s fans fear the UFC star could be “murdered” in his comeback fight with Michael Chandler as he finally returned to training in Dublin.
The UFC legend hasn’t been in the octagon since the summer of 2021, when he suffered a broken leg at the hands of Dustin Poirier in their heated trilogy fight. He has fully recovered and been back to training over the past few months, agreeing to a deal for a comeback fight with Chandler to finish out this year’s season of The Ultimate Fighter.
However, he has spent the last few weeks on holiday in New York, where he has trained with pal Dillon Danis, and not at home in his home gym SBG HQ. He returned to the Dublin premises this afternoon, sharing pictures to social media for his fans to analyse from a pair of sparring sessions.
The Irishman has bulked up considerably during his time away, with one fan writing: “Bro your organs are going to blow up.” And another raised concerns about the Chandler fight, adding that McGregor is “Looking sloppy tho. Chandler might be arrested for murder.” One commenter also said: “Worst and most overrated boxer in MMA history bro is washed.”
