 EastEnders aired the dramatic exit of Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) tonight (July 20) as she fled the Square with granddaughter Peggy. Lisa was determined to fly back to Portugal and, despite Keanu Taylor's (Danny Walters) best efforts, ultimately succeeded with some unexpected helpers. Lisa was horrified at the beginning of the episode to find her and Peggy's passports missing, and turned Sharon Watts' (Letitia Dean) upside down trying to find them. Sharon watched guiltily, aware that Keanu had hidden them deliberately in order to buy himself enough time to get legal advice about gaining custody of daughter Peggy. He got lucky when Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) managed to contact a lawyer friend, who revealed that he would need a prohibited steps order in order to stop Lisa leaving the country. Keanu was thrilled and immediately set the ball rolling, safe in the knowledge that, without her passport, Lisa couldn't go anywhere, leaving him time to have the order put into place. What Keanu didn't know was that fiancé Sharon had had a heart to heart with Lisa, who had revealed that if she found out Keanu would had been behind her passports going missing, then she would never let him see Peggy again. Sharon helped Lisa flee the Square (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) Feeling sorry for Lisa, who just wanted to do right by her granddaughter – albeit having gone about it in the wrong way – and worried that Keanu may never get to see his daughter, Sharon retrieved the passports from their hiding place and asked Martin Fowler (James Bye) for help. When Sharon took Albie to see his dad at work, Keanu gleefully told her the news, while making it clear that he wanted Peggy at their wedding. In a bid to keep him away from the house while Lisa prepared to leave, Sharon asked him to come to dinner with them, and he agreed.
