Ferne McCann defends giving baby girl an ‘unusual name’ as it leaves fans divided

The former TOWIE star and reality TV mum Ferne McCann has defended her choice against a ‘big standard’ name as she names her second child an unusual name that has left fans divided

Former TOWIE star Ferne McCann has defended her unique choice of name for her second daughter after giving birth earlier this month.

Ferne, who is engaged to partner Lorri Haines, gave birth to a baby girl and is already a mum to daughter Sunday. Proud parents Lorri and Ferne have named their new addition Finty Francis Haines-McCann.

The 32-year-old from Essex opened up on Instagram about the special name choice for her second child as she explained her choice to her three million followers and defended it saying she knew it would “split hairs” with some people disliking it because it wasn’t “popular”.

Speaking to her three million followers via Instagram stories, Ferne explained: “Now the name… I knew it was going to split some hairs but I just think if you go for a popular name, an unusual name, whatever name you go for, the’s always going to be a few people that won’t like it. That’s just the way it is.
