‘I almost died and had to be resuscitated after being hit by an e-bike as I walked home’

Dean Gustafson had been enjoying a day out in Manchester, and was heading back to begin his journey home to Oxford when he was hit by an e-bike and suffered a number of horrific injuries

One Brit was told he was “lucky to be alive” after he had been on his way home following a day trip out, but ended up in hospital.

Dean Gustafson, from Oxford, had made the journey up north to visit Manchester for the day, on July 8.

After a lovely time out in the northern city, he had been heading back for his lengthy journey down south, when disaster struck.

The 38-year-old was hit near the city centre by an e-bike, and the next thing he remembered was waking up in Salford Royal Hospital.
