Marc Cucurella makes Moises Caicedo admission after private Chelsea transfer talks

Chelsea wing-back Marc Cucurella has discussed the possibility of linking up with his former Brighton colleague Moises Caicedo again at Stamford Bridge next season

Marc Cucurella believes that his former Brighton teammate, Moises Caicedo, has his heart set on joining him at Chelsea this summer.

The highly-rated midfielder, 21, has been courted by several of the Premier League’s biggest clubs over the past few months including Arsenal, who saw a number of bids for the Ecuador international rebuffed in the January transfer window.

Liverpool are another club who are known to be admirers of Caicedo but it’s Chelsea who have emerged as the frontrunners to sign the Seagulls lynchpin. The Londoners are expected to return with a new proposal after their latest offer, which was believed to be worth £70million, was recently knocked back by Brighton.

And Cucurella, who swapped the South Coast for Stamford Bridge himself last summer, has backed Caicedo to be a success at the club if a deal can be struck in the coming weeks.
