 A woman has said she 'wouldn't let her dog stay' at Pontin's Prestatyn Sands site in North Wales after describing a weekend trip to the holiday park as a 'horrible experience.' Becky Swiers, from Harrogate, had booked a weekend stay at the resort on July 7 and 8 but decided to leave after just one evening after describing the site as an 'absolute dive.' She, her partner and two friends had paid £195 to rent a chalet at the park for the two nights, but after the harrowing experience Becky says she has no intention of ever returning again. 'We were booked in for two nights, but it was just vile, so we just went home,' Becky told the Rhyl Journal. 'I don't know how it's allowed to stay trading; it's just such a hellhole. The hotel chain has recently been voted the worst in the UK for the tenth consecutive year (Picture: Maria Jefferis/Redferns) 'When we got there, it was so dirty, the language was unbelievable, there was vomit, there was broken glass on the pathways, the beds were stained. It was just awful. 'When I went down to complain, there was nobody on the reception. The accommodation was the worst thing; I don't think it had ever been cleaned. 'There were marks on the walls; the curtains were hanging off the rails… it was just an absolute dive. I wouldn't let my dog stay there.' Becky said she is seeking a formal apology from Pontins for her shabby treatment, but attempts to lodge a formal complaint with the company have so far been fruitless. She added: 'I've tried to complain to Pontins, but they won't get back to me. I got into the room and burst into tears. 'I just wanted to bring this (experience) to everyone's attention; in this day and age, not to have a clean room or site, and unkept grounds with litter, vomit and broken glass everywhere, I just don't know how they're allowed to get away with it.
