 Ronan Keating is set to return to the stage at a Finnish festival this Saturday, just days after his brother Ciaran's death. It is understood a car crash took place on Saturday, July 15 in the afternoon, when Ciaran was on his way to watch his son, Ruairí Keating, play for Cork City FC against Sligo Rovers FC. According to The Irish Times, Ciaran, who was in his 50s, was named locally as a man who had died in a crash that occurred on the N5 near Swinford, Co Mayo, and involved two vehicles. The publication reported that Ciaran was travelling with his wife Ann Marie, who suffered injuries, but they were not life-threatening and she was treated at Mayo University Hospital. Following the news, Ronan dropped his commitments to be with his family. He also appeared to delete his Instagram. The festival Vauhtiajot Race & Rock Seinäjoki has now confirmed to attendees that Ronan will be performing in a Facebook post. 'We have received a lot of inquiries regarding Ronan Keating's appearance at the Speed Drive 20 year event,' they began. 'We recently heard some sad news when Ronan's brother passed away in an accident. The whole Speed Drivers team is sorry for the loss and wishes strength to the loved ones. 'We have contacted Ronan Keating today and he has confirmed that he still wants to perform at Vauhtiajoki as agreed on Saturday 22.7.2023.' Got a story?
