NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
The Women’s World Cup 2023 is ready to get underway in Australia and New Zealand on Thursday with the biggest stars in the game set to do battle over the next four weeks.
England are one of the favourites to win the tournament for the very first time in their history following on from their stunning victory at Euro 2022 last summer.
Expectations are at an all-time high for the Lionesses in light of that dizzying summer – even with the absences of star players Leah Williamson, Beth Mead and Fran Kirby due to injury.
However, the Lionesses will face stiff competition from the double reigning world champions USA, whilst the likes of France, Germany and Sweden will also be eyeing glory Down Under.
