Diablo 4 Season 1 kicks off this week but Activision Blizzard is rolling out the patch today for update 1.1 â that means you may not be able to get online for a few hours
Diablo 4 is getting its second chonky patch today, which will be deployed ahead of Season of the Malignant which goes live on July 20. Prepare to get kicked out of the game during the maintenance window â but it won’t be for long.
As with June’s update that was the largest the game received since launch, the Diablo 4 update 1.1 today is also pretty sizeable with early patch notes revealing a 6,600-word-strong list dropping ahead of Season 1 this week. Dubbed Season of the Malignant, the upcoming Diablo 4 Season 1 patch will prep the game for Thursday, July 20, when all of the new content goes live.
As with the June patch, the update today will be accompanied by another Diablo 4 maintenance window. Last month, Activision Blizzard seemed to flip flop between whether Diablo 4 maintenance would take the game offline completely, or just cause minimal disruption for players but just take it as a give than you may get booted. Such are the hazards of an always-online game, and it’s incredibly annoying, we know.
Today’s Diablo 4 maintenance warns that “during this time, players may experience interruptions of service including disconnects.”
