The president of a regional supermarket chain that refused to implement self-checkout machines at its stores has slammed them as ‘highly disrespectful’
It was an announcement that left many customers thrilled – a supermarket chain that REFUSED to install self-checkout tills.
Sparkle Markets – which is based in Eastern Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia – announced they would not be introducing any self-checkout machines as they ‘limit human interaction.’
Now he has spoken out about why he made the move – which many customers branded ‘brilliant’.
Explaining his reasoning, Vincent Furrie, 70, said: “I think it’s very disrespectful to walk in and have nobody waiting on you,” he told The U.S. Sun.
