Emmerdale will wave goodbye to another village legend later this year it seems, as one cast member has ‘quit’ their role after 25 years
Emmerdale is reportedly waving goodbye to a village legend later this year, with one character set to bow out of the ITV soap once more 25 years after their debut.
Actress Samantha Giles is reportedly quitting the show as Bernice Blackstock, amid recent scenes for the character. It isn’t the first time Bernice has fled the village, while it may not be the last either.
According to reports, Bernice will depart the show later this year in a storyline not yet confirmed. It’s claimed the door will be left open for her to return, while she has had four stints on the show and three exits since her arrival in 1998.
Viewers will have to stay tuned to see how she leaves the show, amid hints of a romance with Bob Hope earlier this year. Bob has yet to uncover his current partner Wendy Posner is having an affair with Bernice’s ex Liam Cavanagh right under his nose.
