 Growing up, Rikki Jump, now 32, always knew she was a triplet – but she'd never met her sisters. Her mum, Kathleen, had been unable to afford to keep all three of her babies, and had no choice but to put her other two daughters, Julianne and Kendall Scavo, up for adoption. But at just eight years old, Rikki decided to reach out to her long-list siblings – who were growing up as twins – and the trio became pen pals. They finally met up, aged 11, and now, as adults, they're best friends Rikki said: 'We had been writing to each other for so long so when we met it was like seeing an old friend.' Julianne added: 'It felt like falling in step with a lifelong friend.' 'When my mum fell pregnant, this was the early 90s, so they didn't do as many ultrasounds as they do now. 'When my mum was seven months pregnant, she was measured. She was 28 weeks and measuring at 32 and that was when they performed an ultrasound and found out she was having triplets. 'My parents weren't well off – my dad was a truck driver and mum was a postal worker. With my mum being deaf and not being well off financially, my parents made the decision to put the other two up for adoption.' Kathleen decided that, because Julianne and Kendall were both head down in the womb, it was a sign hey were meant to be together.
