GRAEME SOUNESS has pulled the plug on a sentimental return to his former club Rangers.
The ex-Ibrox player and manager was asked to take on an ambassadorial role by the Glasgow giants in talks that have lasted for weeks.
However, Souness, 70, has decided against the move.
Souey, no longer a TV pundit on Sky Sports, did not feel he would be able to help at the Gers.
During his time at Rangers as a player and manager he helped the club to three Scottish league titles and four Scottish League Cup trophies.
