Stadium which took 17 years to build now housing estate after being left to rot

THIS abandoned stadium used to belong to a former Premier League club.

But after taking 17 years to build before being left to rot, it is now a housing estate.

Boothferry Park used to be the home of Hull City, who now play at the MKM Stadium.

Initially boasting a capacity of 15,000 due to only being partially completed, it opened in 1946 after the end of World War Two.

Boothferry Park was originally planned way back in 1929, and it took a further three years for work to even begin.
