 Mason Greenwood has announced the birth of his first child with his girlfriend. The Manchester United forward, 21, shared a black and white image on Instagram of the newborn's hand held within both of theirs, and simply captioned it: '11.07.23'. This comes amid a yet to be announced decision on the striker's future, after he was suspended since January 2022, when he was arrested following the release of images and video online from a female acquaintance. Charges of attempted rape, coercive behaviour and assault were dropped against Greenwood earlier this year, with the Crown Prosecution Service stating that 'in this case a combination of the withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light meant there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction'. United then announced the club would be undertaking its own internal investigation, and he remains suspended. Earlier this year it was reported Greenwood had plans to marry his partner, who is understood to be a university student. Their pregnancy was announced in February, after all charges against Greenwood were dropped. The Sun since reported he had told his family about marriage plans, while later in the year she celebrated a baby shower. They have yet to reveal the baby's gender. Got a story?
