David Moyes aims pointed dig at Arsenal and offers Declan Rice transfer update

The West Ham manager has made clear even he is growing tired of waiting for an update regarding Declan Rice’s transfer to Arsenal as it is impacting his ability to plan for next term

David Moyes has hinted the dragged out nature of Declan Rice’s move to Arsenal is beginning to cause frustrations, with the £105million move still to be completed.

Reports first broke claiming Arsenal and West Ham had reached an agreement over the fee at the back end of last month, but more than a fortnight down the line, Rice has still yet to be unveiled as a Gunner. In recent days, some have suggested the Hammers are becoming increasingly annoyed by the delay, as it is now hindering their own plans to strengthen their squad.

Personal terms between Rice and Arsenal were also agreed upon some time ago and the main talking point surrounding this lengthy transfer saga is simply questioning why no announcement has been made.

Moyes openly addressed the fact that until Rice’s deal is finalised, West Ham’s hands are tied when it comes to sorting their own incomings. Speaking before the Hammers’ pre-season friendly against Perth Glory, the Scotsman bemoaned: “Until it’s done we can’t plan anything.
