Tiffany Cheng, girlfriend of Robert De Niro, has opened up about her frightening and sudden disorder that onset immediately post childbirth.
When Tiffany Chen arrived home with her newborn daughter, she couldn’t have anticipated what would come next. Tiffany said that immediately after her labour, she realised “getting a sharp pain” behind her ear.
The doctor’s initially told her it was likely fluid build up from the pregnancy and labor, but the symptoms only get worse. Her tongue “felt like a little tingly, just starting to get a little bit numb,” she told CBS Mornings. This “weird” feeling didn’t dissipate. Instead, she said that her face felt like it was “melting”.
At first, the doctor’s had overlooked a Bell’s palsy diagnosis.
Tiffany said: “The one thing that threw everybody off was that it was perfectly symmetrical.”
