Barclays to close another 14 branches as high street bank struggles

Barclays are closing another 14 branches across the UK, after previously announcing they would be axing more than 140 of their in-person facilities over the next two years

Barclays have announced they will be closing another 14 branches by the end of the year.

Customers in Potters Bar, Thirsk and Malton are among those who will now be expected to go online or head to their next-nearest branch.

The list of new branch closures comes after the London-based banking firm previously shared they would be shutting at least 142 branches in 2023 and 2024.

It is just the latest in a number of similar moves by high street banks, a trend which has made some campaigners concerned that entire communities will be left without any in-person financial services.
