Gilgo Beach murders suspect Rex Heuerman was watched for months by cops who traced burner phone calls to sex worker victims addresses, it is reported.
The 59-year-old architect, from New York, was taken into custody outside his Manhattan office last night and has been arrested in connection with the “Gilgo Beach four”, who were all sex workers in their 20s.
The bodies were discovered in burlap sacks along the beach in December 2010 after each victim had been strangled.
In addition, another six women and a toddler were found in the following months – with police set to investigate whether the suspect has any connection to the murders.
